Giving to our Veterinary Medical Center

The programs and activities of our unique veterinary hospital, including high volume spay neuter, sliding scale full service veterinary care for low income pet owners, veterinary student training, life saving veterinary treatment for homeless shelter pets, and more...are only made possible by the support we recieve from our community supporters.

We rely on gifts from individuals and businesses as well as grants and income earned from fees for veterinary services to fund the Idaho Humane Society's veterinary hospital. None of the hospital's funding comes from taxpayer support, and no funding for the hospital comes from animal care and control service contracts.

Our hospital facility and its staff of veterinarians, technicians and assistants does an amazing job ministering to the medical needs of over 14,000 shelter pets each year and many thousands more community animals as well. Far greater need exists than we can currently fund. Every private contribution that we receive extends our ability to save animals and prevent unwanted litters.

If you would like to make a contribution specifically dedicated to supporting the veterinary medical services and programs of the Idaho Humane Society, please contact Christine Wiersema, Cwiersema@idahohumanesociety.org  or (208) 387-2760.
