The Idaho Humane Society has been dedicated to preventing the abuse of farm animals, particularly equines, since it's earliest days. In 2004, the Society created the Rescue Ranch which is a facility dedicated to the care of neglected farm animals and advocacy on behalf of the animals that have traditionally provided us with food, fiber, and labor.
About the Idaho Humane Society Rescue Ranch
The Idaho Humane Society Rescue Ranch rescues and rehabilitates abused and neglected horses and other livestock. The Idaho Humane Society has jurisdiction in Ada County and Boise City. For out-of-county rescues and prosecution, the Idaho Humane Society works with law enforcement and the State Veterinarian (Department of Agriculture).
The Rescue Ranch is currently leasing 23 acres to house and rehabilitate rescued animals. A dedicated team of volunteers help with the daily feedings, handling and cleaning.
