1. How do I register for See Spot Walk and how much does it cost?
You can register 9/4 - 10/1, on-line at idahohumanesociety.org, by mail, at any Zamzows store through 9/30, the Idaho Humane Society shelter, Zamzows Frisbee Fest – 9/19, Eagle BBQ & Spud Fest – Sept. 5 - 6, PetSmart Adoption Event – 9/11- 9/21 - or the Hyde Park Street Fair – 9/18 - 9/20.  Registration fee includes dog bandana and long-sleeved t-shirt featuring the See Spot Walk logo:
• Adult - $20 
• Teams - $18 per person for a team of 4 or more 
• Children 12 and under - $15 (with child size t-shirt only)

2. Is the registration fee per person or per dog?
The registration fee is per person and includes one dog scarf. You may bring more than one dog but they must be under control at all times.

3. Do I have to pay the registration fee if I just want to participate in the walk?
Although it is not a requirement, we encourage every participant to be registered.  The Idaho Humane Society assists over 15,000 animals every year.  We rely on donations from individuals and funds raised from special events like See Spot Walk to keep our animal shelter running. Every registration benefits the animals at the Idaho Humane Society.

4. Can I register in advance but continue to collect pledges up until the day of SSW?
Yes the animals would love for you to do that!  Pledges should be turned it on the morning of the event. To download our pledge form, click here


5. I can’t attend SSW but would still like to raise pledges or make a donation to help the animals. Can I do that?
If you are unable to attend the event you may make a tax deductible donation of any amount and/or you may raise pledges. You will still be eligible for pledge prizes. If you are unable to deliver the pledges on the day of the event, please deliver to the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. Boise, prior to the event. Additionally, (even if you cannot attend) you may register to receive a t-shirt and dog scarf.

6.  How do my friends and family make donations in my name?
It’s easy! Send them to www.firstgiving.com/idahohumanesociety and have them enter your name in Want To Donate box.  They can make a secure donation online that, once processed, will be reflected in your individual total.

7. How do I register my dog for the contests?
In your registration packet you will find an entry form.  Submit your form at the “Contest for Talented Dogs” table near the band shell. Download our contest entry form by clicking here.

8. Can I buy extra SSW t-shirts and dog bandanas?
Any remaining t-shirts will be available for purchase the week following the event. Extra dog scarves may be purchased at the event for $2.00 each (subject to availability).

9. If I register on-line or by mail, how do I pick up my t-shirt?
You may pick up your t-shirt at the Idaho Humane Society prior to the event or at the Registration booth on the day of the event. If you register on-line, please bring your printed confirmation. We suggest that you pick up your t-shirt packet prior to the day of the event.

10. What time does See Spot Walk start? 
The festivities begin at 10:00, the walk begins promptly at 11:00.  After the walk, return to the park for games, contests, prizes, entertainment, food and vendor booths.

11. Why is it important that I be on time for the start of the walk?
The streets will temporarily be closed to accommodate the large number of walkers so it is not possible to accommodate late arrivals.  The walk begins promptly at 11:00.

12. Where does See Spot Walk take place?
The festivities will take place at the Julia Davis Park Band Shell, off Capitol Blvd. near the Boise Art Museum.  The walk begins at the entrance to the park, continues north on Capitol Blvd., west on Idaho St., south on 9th  St. east on River St. and back to the park. 

13. Where can I park?
On the day of the event (from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm) free parking (without permit) will be available at the BSU parking structure on Brady St. off University Dr. Free parking is allowed in the parking structure only, cars parked in other BSU lots may be towed. Additional parking may be available at Julia Davis Park.

14. What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
See Spot Walk will take place even if it is raining cats and dogs.  So, come and enjoy all the dog-gone fun even if it is a little wet – your dog won’t mind!
