Cats
All adoptions include mandatory spay or neuter, first FVRCP (cats) or DHPP (dogs)vaccination, rabies vaccination and microchip for identification purposes plus a packet of food samples and educational information. All dogs that are available for adoption are spayed or neutered prior to viewing by the public, cats are spayed and neutered upon adoption. License FeesDogs - Boise City All city residents must purchase a license when adopting a dog. The license is good for one year from the date of purchase.

Cats Cats do not have licenses but we recommend that you keep a collar and identification tag on your cat at all times. Identification tags can be purchased at the IHS Store. Drop-off Fees
This is a service that we gladly provide for the community but funding is necessary to defray the expenses that incur when we take care of your pets. Stray animals are admitted to our shelter without charge. This service includes vaccination, spaying or neutering, medical care if necessary, food and shelter for an indeterminate amount of time, grooming if necessary and adoption promotion and services.
Ada County residents must purchase a license when adopting a dog. The license is good for one year from the date of purchase.
