Proceeds from our hospital help rescue, rehabilitate, spay, neuter and find homes for thousands of animals every year. Our non-profit veterinary hospital is located within our animal shelter complex and provides a full range of services for the pet owning public in addition to our primary mission of caring for the animals at our shelter, injured stray animals from throughout Ada County and wildlife as well. Since 1997, we've spayed and neutered over 120,000 pets at our hospital! As part of our ongoing effort to end pet overpopulation, the hospital currently spays and neuters over 9,500 dogs, cats, ferrets and rabbits each year. Additionally, other medical procedures such as dentistry and orthopedic surgery are routinely performed. Our staff of licensed veterinarians treats over 20,000 animals each year, and are available by appointment seven days per week.
